 The Apartment is set in a complex called Monte Dourado which is in the centre of Carvoeiro, within easy walking distance of the shops, bars and a really impressive variety of good quality restaurants. The pretty local beach flanks the town square, where there is often live entertainment on summer evenings. There are plenty of other excellent beaches to be found around the Carvoeiro area
Golfers will relish the nearby golf courses of Gramacho, Pinta and Vale Do Milho as well as numerous others the Algarve has to offer.
.jpg) The village of Carvoeiro lies in a dip between two hills. In summer it is a busy place, being the focal point for shopping, wining and dining for many visitors of different nationalities (it has the biggest selection of restaurants in the area).
There are plenty of bars some of which offer live music such as Jailhouse which is open 6pm till late every night. Sully's is located in the main square of Carvoeiro. It is one of the three original taverns in the village. Bar Havana is a very popular and friendly bar with a good selection of cocktails
The Lagoa districit, within which Carvoeiro is set, produces red, white, rose and fortified wines. Lagoa's winery has tours to see how they are made.
Lagoa is an easy drive (5km) from the centre of Carvoeiro and then only 5 minutes drive to Silves. From here you can travel to Monchique and Caldas de Monchique.
Silves is a market town and has a medieval castle. Monchique is a small mountain town which also has a spa village called Caldas de Monchique.
 
Zoomarine is a mixture between an marine centre and a theme park. Dolphins of course, are the biggest attraction. They give three shows a day in the Dolphin arena, but you can go and visit them at any time.
There are several theme rides, including a large Ferris wheel, and a large swimming pool area where you can cool off. There is also a large children's play area. http://www.zoomarine.com/

Crazy World has several crazy golf courses, and a selection of animals and reptiles to see.
Jeep Safari is a full day out including lunch on a 4 wheel drive vehicle through areas of the nature reserve.
